Friar Lawrence is a sneaky, dishonest Friar. He secretly marries Romeo and Juliet, hides Romeo in his cell, gives Juliet poison, declines Paris's demand for him to marry him and Juliet, etc. Throughout the story he gets on more and more trouble. He continues to hide the truth from everyone except Romeo and Juliet. He even encourages Juliet to lie and say she is going to confession when really she is going to make a plan to "kill herself". Friar is always there for Romeo and Juliet. He agrees to marry them in the beginning thinking that maybe it will resolve the family feud. When it doesn't he continues to secretly do them favors and that is where he made his mistake. If he had of stopped there maybe they would not have gotten into so much trouble and 6 people would not have died. Friar had a big impact in the overall story and was one of the main characters.
